Karaoke in the Cove was an idea born by avid boater Newton Fincher. It just sounded like a fun time. So he enlisted the help of his buddy Scott Davis, who also happened to have a DJ and Karaoke business, and Dave Hamman. A few weeks later they were testing "Karaoke on a Boat" and it went well! Everyone including Scott thought Newton was crazy and it was going to be difficult to pull off without audio gear ending up in the water. He proved them all wrong! The first year, 2024, went smooth and was a great time!
For the Second Annual Karaoke in the Cove, Newton wanted to upgrade of course. In 2024 the Karaoke "Stage" was the swim deck on the back of Scott's boat. It needed to be bigger, much bigger. For 2025, Newton re-built a 24' Pontoon with custom Fabricated Deck Extensions so the Stage could be set sideways between two boats without damaging them. The Stage is 25' 6" in length! A huge upgrade from the 7' Swim Deck from 2024.
